Swords & Serpents

"Swords & Serpents," developed by Imagic for the Intellivision home gaming console, is an immersive dungeon-crawling adventure that offers both single-player and co-op gameplay.

In this classic Dungeons & Dragons-style game, you step into the role of the White Knight, or Warrior Prince, as you explore an intricate, maze-like dungeon filled with treasures, magic scrolls, and dangerous enemies. Battle Phantom Knights, Red Sorcerers, and other adversaries while striving to collect silver diamonds and gold—precious treasures that may be lost if you fall in battle.

In a one-player game, you embark on a perilous quest to uncover the secrets of the Fortress of the Sinister Serpent, locate its lair, and defeat the evil within. For a more cooperative experience, team up with a friend—one controlling the Warrior Prince and the other, Nilrem the Wizard. Together, you must navigate the dungeon's depths, with Nilrem gradually learning powerful spells that can be crucial to your survival.

The stakes are high, as each player has only 9 lives or "reincarnations." If you run out, the game ends, making every battle a test of skill and strategy. With its dynamic two-player mode, engaging narrative, and thrilling dungeon crawl mechanics, Swords & Serpents delivers a timeless gaming experience for both casual players and retro gaming enthusiasts alike."
