Space Invasion for the ColecoVision home gaming console, developed by John Dondzila and Classic Game Creations, delivers fast-paced, classic-style arcade action inspired by the golden age of video games.

Set against the backdrop of an alien invasion, the fate of Earth rests in the player’s hands as waves of extraterrestrial forces descend upon the planet.

After decades of searching the cosmos, humanity’s first contact with alien life takes a dark turn when the visitors reveal their true intentions — total galactic domination. With Earth in their sights, these invaders launch a full-scale assault, determined to conquer and enslave humanity. In response, Earth’s defenders have constructed fortified barriers and equipped advanced mobile cannons, known as “bases,” to repel the attack.

Players take command of one of these mobile bases, tasked with stopping the alien troops before they reach the planet’s surface. The action intensifies with each wave as enemies become faster and more aggressive, testing the player’s reflexes and precision. Strategic positioning and sharp shooting are essential to survival.

Adding to the challenge and excitement, Space Invasion features a special “Rainbow Effect” bonus system: destroy the final aliens in the bottom two rows to trigger a fireworks display and earn 500 bonus points. Take out the bottom left-most alien to unlock an even greater reward — fireworks and a 1,000-point bonus.
