Deflektor Kollection – Unique Homebrew Compilation by Daniel Bienvenu for ColecoVision

Deflektor Kollection is a homebrew game compilation for the ColecoVision, created by veteran developer Daniel Bienvenu and published by AtariAge.

Notable for its unique hardware support, it is the first homebrew title on the console to fully utilize both the driving controller and roller controller, offering a distinctive gameplay experience. Traditional joysticks are not supported, emphasizing the game’s innovative control design.

Originally released under the name Double Breakout, the title was renamed to Deflektor Kollection to avoid trademark conflicts with Atari’s Breakout series. The new name was selected through a community contest on the AtariAge forums, with the final logo artwork created by Francis Meunier.

The compilation includes three different games:

Deflektor I: Daniel Bienvenu’s first ColecoVision game, developed in 1999, laying the groundwork for future homebrew creativity on the platform.

Deflektor II: A follow-up that expands on the original with new features and gameplay elements.

Dacflektor: A hybrid two-player game that creatively combines elements of DacMan and TV Tennis, offering fast-paced competitive action.
