New Baseball, developed by Epoch for the Cassette Vision home gaming console, is a refined version of the earlier baseball title also released by the company.

While both games share the same core gameplay, New Baseball introduces several subtle but meaningful enhancements that set it apart.

According to retro gaming historian Jeremy Parish, the updates in New Baseball include the addition of a single-player mode, bunting mechanics, and improved AI behavior, which contribute to a smoother and more responsive gameplay experience. These changes allow players to enjoy a more complete and strategic baseball simulation compared to the earlier version.

Although the full list of differences between the two titles is not yet fully documented, New Baseball is recognized for advancing the sports game format on early home consoles. It reflects Epoch’s continued efforts to innovate within the constraints of the Cassette Vision hardware.
