The Activision Decathlon (ColecoVision) – Classic Olympic Sports Game by David Crane & Activision

The Activision Decathlon, created by legendary game designer David Crane and published by Activision, brings the thrill of Olympic competition to the ColecoVision home console.

Inspired by the real-life decathlon, the game challenges players to test their athletic skill, endurance, and reflexes across ten demanding events that simulate the full experience of track and field competition.

Up to two players can compete head-to-head or take turns in the ColecoVision version, choosing to complete all ten events in sequence or select individual challenges. The lineup includes authentic Olympic disciplines such as the 100-meter dash, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400-meter race, 110-meter hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin throw, and the grueling 1500-meter race.

Each event requires precise timing, rapid controller movements, and a keen sense of rhythm to achieve record-breaking performances. Points accumulate based on performance, encouraging players to balance speed, power, and consistency across all events to earn the title of ultimate athlete.
