Mieyen (ColecoVision) – Retro Puzzle Action Game by Inufuto

Mieyen is a distinctive puzzle-action title developed by Inufuto for the ColecoVision home gaming console.

The game challenges players with an innovative mechanic: battling invisible monsters that can only be tracked through their interaction with the environment.

The main objective is to clear each level by defeating all monsters. Since the enemies remain unseen, players must rely on indirect clues to uncover their positions. Breadcrumbs scattered across the playfield are gradually eaten by the monsters, creating a disappearing trail that helps pinpoint their location.

Adding to the challenge, players must protect burgers placed around the stage. If every burger is stolen, the mission ends in failure. Likewise, direct contact with a monster results in an immediate loss. These mechanics combine to create a tense balance between cautious exploration and decisive action.

Mieyen stands out in the ColecoVision library for its blend of stealth, deduction, and strategy. The invisible enemies introduce an element of suspense rarely seen in retro titles, making it a compelling experience for collectors and fans of unique 8-bit gameplay.
