There Is mORE – A Procedurally Generated Mining Roguelite
Players venture underground during the day to gather ores, explore caves, and find treasures, then return to the surface at night to defend a central structure known as THE CORE from waves of increasingly dangerous enemies.
Procedurally Generated Underground Environments
The underground environments are procedurally generated, ensuring that each run presents different layouts, enemy placements, and resource opportunities. As players descend deeper, both the risks and rewards increase. Maintaining a light source is essential, as losing illumination affects the character’s sanity and can lead to negative consequences.
Combat: Exploration and Nighttime Defense
Combat shifts between exploration-based encounters below ground and wave-based defense at night. Enemies include skeletons, slimes, and other creatures that become stronger with each passing night. The core is the primary target of these attacks, and protecting it is necessary to continue progressing through the 10-day cycle.
Progression Through Ore Collection and Upgrades
Progression is driven by ore collection and resource management. Ores can be sold for gold, which is used to upgrade armor, weapons, and backpack capacity. These upgrades allow players to survive longer, explore deeper areas, and handle stronger enemies. The game also features a skill tree and a persistent progress system, allowing long-term advancement across multiple runs.
Spells, Loot, and Playstyle Variety
There Is mORE includes more than 15 unique spells and a wide range of loot that supports different playstyles. Players can focus on melee combat, ranged attacks, or defensive strategies depending on their chosen equipment and spells. At the end of each run, players earn a new spell for every four runes collected, further influencing future playthroughs.
Persistent Progression Across Runs
Each run contributes to overall progression, with mined ores and collected resources carrying over to strengthen the character in subsequent cycles. The core gameplay loop encourages repeated attempts, gradual improvement, and experimentation with different builds and strategies.
10-Day Survival Cycle and Endless Mode
The game features a 10-day survival cycle that culminates in a boss encounter, along with an endless mode for extended play. At early access launch, the game includes over 20 types of ores, more than 14 enemy types, a skill tree, and full controller support.
PC Optimization and Steam Deck Focus
There Is mORE is developed primarily for PC and is fully optimized for both mouse and keyboard and controller input. The Steam Deck has been a specific focus during development, with performance and controls tailored for portable play.
