Destroy castles, launch boulders, and compete in epic battles in this retro gaming adventure.
Castle Crumbling Mayhem in Smithereens!
Time Travel Adventure:
Step back in time to the days of old, where knights were bold and football was yet to be invented. In Smithereens!, you'll find yourself amidst a medieval world where castle crumbling is the national sport. Get ready to embark on an epic journey into the realm of strategic destruction.
Dual Controls:As you enter this medieval arena, you'll take control of two crucial elements. The left-hand control activates the soldier and catapult on the left side of your screen, while the right-hand control manages the catapult on the right. Your mission? Launch boulders and wreak havoc upon your opponent's castle.
Launch and Destroy:To launch a boulder, simply move the joystick in any direction and release it. The longer you hold it back, the farther the boulder will travel. Strategic hits can disable your opponent's catapult temporarily, giving you an advantage to intensify your bombardment. Every time a boulder strikes your foe's castle, a section crumbles into oblivion.
Soldier Showdown:A direct hit on your opponent's soldier sends them to the nearest off-screen first aid station, leaving you with a window of opportunity for unabated destruction until their return.
The Battle of Points:Each battle is a fierce contest for dominance. The winner of each battle receives points based on their performance, multiplied by the battle number. The computer automatically adds the battle score to the total score of the winner. The player with a standing castle at the end emerges victorious. There are ten battles in each war, with battle scores displayed on-screen during the action.
Victory and Celebration:The victor of a battle is treated to a triumphant fanfare of trumpets, while the defeated player concedes with a white flag.
Each direct hit on a castle: 3 points
Direct hit on a soldier: 7 points
Demolishing a catapult: 13 points
Catapult Tension Settings:
To start a new game, press RESET and choose from three available catapult tension settings (1, 2, or 3). The higher the number, the faster your reaction time must be.
