Super Bee - Classic Philips Videopac 50 Game | Retro Gaming Adventure

Super Bee, developed by GST Video and released by Philips and Magnavox for the Philips Videopac 50, is a captivating retro game that transports players into a whimsical garden where a diligent bee embarks on a fruity feast.

As the player, you control this bee, navigating through a vibrant and ever-changing garden where delicious fruits continually pop up. Your goal is to fly over and eat these fruits to accumulate points, all while avoiding the garden's fences, which form the screen's edges.

Each type of fruit offers different points:

Lemon (yellow): 5 points

Apple (red): 10 points

Pear (green): 15 points

Plum (grey): 20 points

Strawberry (red): 25 points

Upon consuming each fruit, a magic barrier appears in the bee's flying direction, adding an extra layer of challenge as you must skillfully avoid crashing into these newly formed obstacles. The excitement peaks every time you reach 105 points, triggering a bonus round where you must dodge a menacing spider and snatch a special fruit to earn an additional 50 points. Subsequent bonus rounds occur every 15 points thereafter.

Super Bee features 10 skill levels, selectable by pressing keys 0 to 9, each presenting unique mazes that test your agility and strategic thinking. Whether you're a nostalgic gamer or a newcomer to retro classics, Super Bee offers an enchanting and challenging journey through a magical garden world.
