VoxOdyssey | Retro and Classic Consoles | Magnavox Odyssey 2 | Killer Bees!
Control a swarm of white bees, sting Beebots, and fend off Killer Bees with the bug-zapping RoSHa Ray. Survive 26 difficulty levels, score points, and save the Earth in this action-packed indie classic.
Embark on an epic adventure to protect Earth from the invading Beebots from the insect civilization of BEM in the captivating indie game, Killer Bees! Developed by Philips and released for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 on January 1, 1983, this game promises an action-packed experience like no other.
As a player, you control a swarm of white bees, tasked with the crucial mission of stopping the Beebots' advance. Fly over the Beebots and deliver a powerful sting to slow them down until they finally meet their demise. Watch as grave markers rise where Beebots fall, making the movement of the remaining invaders more challenging.
But it won't be an easy feat! The Beebots are protected by swarms of menacing Killer Bees. If your swarm comes under attack, you'll lose bees gradually until none are left, leading to the game's end. The Killer Bees get stronger the longer they stay on the screen, changing colors from green (less harmful) to blue and finally to red (most dangerous).
Luckily, you have a secret weapon at your disposal – the bug-zapping RoSHa Ray! Release it by pressing the action button and follow the white bees' vertical movement to ward off the Killer Bees.
As you progress, each round becomes more challenging, with 26 difficulty levels to conquer. Score points for every sting, zapped swarm, and Beebot killed. At the end of each round, earn a bonus based on the number of survivor bees, multiplied by the round number.
Do you have what it takes to survive the Beebot invasion and save Earth? Join the swarm and experience the excitement of Killer Bees! Defeat the Beebots, outsmart the Killer Bees, and make Earth safe again in this retro gaming gem. Get ready to immerse yourself in hours of thrilling gameplay and relive the magic of this timeless classic.
