Tropical Trouble - Help Clarence Rescue Doris in This Classic Intellivision Adventure

Tropical Trouble, developed by Imagic for the Intellivision home gaming platform, brings players on a whimsical yet challenging adventure across a tropical island.

You play as Clumsy Clarence, who is enjoying a vacation with his girlfriend Doris. However, their peaceful getaway is interrupted when Doris is kidnapped by the menacing Beach Bruiser. Now, it’s up to Clarence to chase the Beach Bruiser across the island and save Doris before it’s too late.

As you pursue the Beach Bruiser, the screen scrolls continuously to the right. Clarence must overcome a series of obstacles scattered across the island, including coconuts, ferns, clams, sand snakes, and even dangerous lava! If Clarence is slowed down by too many obstacles and falls behind, he risks hitting the left side of the screen and losing a life.

Throughout the chase, Doris occasionally drops a handkerchief. If Clarence collects it, he becomes temporarily invincible, allowing him to race ahead without worrying about the obstacles. If you manage to catch Doris, you’ll advance to the next section of the island, bringing you closer to the final showdown with the Beach Bruiser.

The game culminates in an exciting bridge battle against the Beach Bruiser. If Clarence is successful in defeating him, the game continues with more difficult levels, providing an increasingly challenging experience.

Originally conceived as a sequel to Beauty and the Beast, Tropical Trouble delivers a fun and fast-paced gaming experience full of colorful visuals and quirky challenges.
