Engage in intense space battles and destroy massive warships before it's too late.
Prepare for the ultimate space siege in The Dreadnaught Factor, a thrilling sci-fi action game developed by Cheshire Engineering and published by Activision for the Intellivision home gaming console.
As the commander of a small but nimble hyperfighter, your mission is to protect your planet from the approaching Zorban Dreadnaughts—massive spaceships that are 140,000 feet long, weigh 970 megatons, and are heavily armed with deadly weapons.
The game unfolds in a side-scrolling overhead view, where you must make multiple passes over each dreadnaught to bomb its energy vents, the weak spots that hold the key to their destruction. The more energy vents you destroy, the closer you get to bringing down the colossal warship. But time is of the essence—if you take too long, the dreadnaught will reach your home planet and annihilate it.
As you battle these enormous space behemoths, you’ll face an onslaught of defensive firepower, including guns, cannons, missiles, and other weapon systems trying to end your mission. To add to the challenge, The Dreadnaught Factor offers multiple skill levels that adjust the speed, firepower, and number of dreadnaughts you must face, ensuring the game stays challenging and intense no matter your skill level.
The Dreadnaught Factor isn't just a game—it's a test of strategy, reflexes, and courage. With over 100 looming dreadnaughts on the horizon, only you can stop this terrifying fleet from reaching the planet Terra. Take command of your hyperfighter, engage in epic space battles, and prove your bravery in this legendary Intellivision space combat game. The fate of your planet rests in your hands!
