Each system is crucial to your success, and when the ship is hit, these systems can sustain damage. If a system breaks down, you can head to a star base for repairs, or attempt to fix the damage during battle, though it comes with the risk of using up your ship’s energy.

REPAIR AND SURVIVE

Your starship is resilient, but not invincible. Repairs are essential, especially if you want to keep fighting off alien forces. While you can perform quick repairs during battle, full system restoration can only be achieved by docking at a star base. However, time is of the essence—if all of your ship’s systems are destroyed, your ship will be completely obliterated. Using the Hyper Drive recklessly can even trigger a catastrophic explosion, with a 50% chance of blowing up your ship when damaged.

STRATEGIC USE OF ENERGY AND HYPER DRIVE

As the commander, energy management is key. Every action, from repairs to battle maneuvers, consumes your ship’s energy reserves. This adds an additional layer of strategy, forcing you to decide when to engage, when to retreat, and when to make repairs. The Hyper Drive is your ship’s fastest mode of travel, but be cautious—using it when systems are severely damaged can cause the ship to explode, ending your journey in defeat.
