J.E.T.P.A.C. – ColecoVision Sci-Fi Action Game by Imanok & Team Pixelboy

J.E.T.P.A.C. is a sci-fi action game for the ColecoVision, developed by Imanok and published by Team Pixelboy.

Set in a future where Earth’s energy resources have been depleted, humanity turns to the moons of Jupiter for survival. Automated Drilleroids were created to mine high-energy minerals, but when hostile native lifeforms attacked and damaged these machines, the elite unit J.E.T.P.A.C. (Jupiter Elite Troop Power Afield Company) was dispatched to handle the crisis.

Tragedy strikes when the team’s spaceship is severely damaged in an asteroid impact. With no conventional power source available, the crew must improvise a desperate plan: recover the power cells from the damaged Drilleroids and repurpose them to fuel their ship. Players take control of these brave technicians, piloting jetpacks into treacherous underground tunnels filled with alien threats. Each mission requires disabling Drilleroids, collecting power cells, and surviving hostile encounters.

On the ColecoVision, J.E.T.P.A.C. stands out for its blend of action, strategy, and atmospheric storytelling. The game combines challenging arcade-style gameplay with a layered sci-fi narrative, offering both intensity and immersion. It remains a respected entry in the ColecoVision homebrew library, showcasing the creativity and technical skill of modern developers who continue to expand the system’s legacy.
