Gradius on the ColecoVision, developed by Opcode Games, brings one of the most iconic shoot 'em up experiences to the classic console.

Originally an arcade hit, this adaptation challenges players with fast-paced action and strategic gameplay.

The story begins on the planet Gradius, a peaceful Earth-like world suddenly under siege from the Bacterion, an ancient enemy from the subspace star cluster. With the planet on the brink of destruction, the experimental hyperspace fighter, Vic Viper, is launched to turn the tide of battle.

Players must guide the Vic Viper through waves of enemy assaults, collecting power capsules to upgrade weapons and abilities. These enhancements are vital to surviving the onslaught and advancing toward the Bacterion’s heavily fortified superfortress, Xaerous.
