Chack’n Pop (ColecoVision) – Maze Platformer by CollectorVision Games

Chack’n Pop is a maze-style platforming game developed for the ColecoVision by CollectorVision Games, based on the classic arcade title of the same name.

In this quirky and challenging retro experience, players take control of Mr. Chack’n, a small yellow creature with extendable legs and a mission to reclaim love stolen by dark magic.

In the game’s story, a group of jealous sorcerers known as the Mighta wizards aim to sabotage the relationship between Mr. Chack’n and Miss Chack’n by trapping their hearts in cages. It’s up to Mr. Chack’n to navigate a series of 14 single-screen mazes, overcome enemies, and retrieve the stolen hearts to restore love and peace.

Mr. Chack’n can walk on floors and ceilings, but not walls, and uses his unique ability to extend his legs to scale obstacles and reach higher platforms. Along the way, he must avoid or defeat the evil Monstas—creatures that patrol the maze and seek to block his progress. To fight back, Mr. Chack’n can throw hand grenades left or right. After a brief delay, these grenades release a cloud of deadly smoke that can clear obstacles and enemies alike.

Each level is designed with clever puzzles and movement challenges, requiring timing, strategy, and spatial awareness. The combination of action, puzzle-solving, and retro charm makes Chack’n Pop a distinctive addition to the ColecoVision library and a standout title for fans of vintage arcade-style gameplay.
