Bejeweled

Bejeweled on the ColecoVision is a homebrew adaptation of the popular puzzle game, developed by Daniel Bienvenu in January 2002.

Originally inspired by a university friend's challenge to recreate the gameplay on a retro console, Bienvenu quickly developed the first version of the game. Although academic priorities delayed further development, the project was later revived when fellow enthusiast Mathieu Proulx joined the effort. Together, they completed the game, turning an informal coding challenge into a noteworthy homebrew title for ColecoVision enthusiasts.

This fan-made version of Bejeweled showcases the technical capabilities of the ColecoVision and the dedication of retro gaming developers. It stands as a tribute to both the ingenuity of hobbyist programmers and the enduring appeal of classic puzzle gameplay.
