Armageddon on ColecoVision – Defend Zondar in This Classic Retro Missile Defense Game

Armageddon, developed by CollectorVision Games for the ColecoVision home gaming console, is a fast-paced sci-fi missile defense game set in a distant part of the galaxy.

The peaceful planet of Zondar is under attack by the war-driven Krytlovians from the planet Krytlov. Zondar, known for its crime-free society, rich resources, and advanced cities, now faces an interstellar threat that could wipe out its civilization.

As the commander of Zondar’s defense forces, players are tasked with protecting six major cities by launching antiballistic missiles (ABMs) against incoming waves of Krytlovian weaponry. The enemy attacks with interplanetary ballistic missiles, multiple-head warheads, smart bombs, aircraft, and satellites—all aiming to destroy Zondar’s cities and missile bases.

Armageddon combines strategic gameplay and quick reflexes, challenging players to prioritize threats and deploy defenses effectively. With its futuristic storyline, increasing difficulty, and arcade-inspired action, Armageddon is a standout title on the ColecoVision, offering retro gamers a thrilling test of skill in planetary defense.
