Movement and positioning are critical, as contact with robots, enemy fire, or the maze walls results in the loss of a life. The game continues until all reserve lives are depleted, reinforcing a traditional arcade-style risk-and-reward structure.

Each sector is governed by a visible timer bar that directly affects scoring and survival. Completing a sector while the timer remains in the green or yellow zones awards bonus points, rewarding efficient play. Allowing the timer to fully expire results in the immediate loss of a life, adding pressure to clear enemies quickly. This mechanic balances speed with caution, a defining feature of the gameplay loop.

Maze layouts include one or more exits, giving players the option to leave a sector at any time. However, exiting before all robots are destroyed carries a penalty, forcing the player to move back two sectors. This design choice encourages full completion of each area rather than avoidance, increasing both difficulty and strategic depth.
