It is a platform game (then called "climbing games" by the US press). The game was given the KidStuff panel on the cover art; meaning it was aimed at gamers under the age of nine.

Bootleg versions of the game were sold around the world under three different names: Apples and Dolls by CCE, Teddy Apple by Home Vision, and Ursinho Esperto always by CCE (but only in Brazil). A clone version was instead released in Asia as Open, Sesame!, which was developed by Puzzy.
